1. Normal pressure range 

 ≤ 1.6MPa

This pressure range is primarily used for winter heating system and small-scale industrial applications. Have low pressure requirements on pipes.

1.6 – 3.8MPa

Suitable for applications with higher temperature and heat requirements, medium-scale industrial applications like textile,chemical and general manufacturing.

3.8 – 9.8MPa

Suitable for large industrial processes,like petrochemical, power plant.

2. Affecting factors

*System design

Different boiler types require specific pressure.Understanding the design specifications and recommended pressure range for your particular system is essential.

*Expansion and contraction

As water or steam heats up within the boiler and distribution pipes, it expands, increasing pressure.Conversely, as the system cools down, pressure decreases. 

3. Check boiler pressure

*Pressure gauge

Usually installed in the boiler control panel,can be read directly.If pressure gauges are pointer-type,close observation of the pointer position is essential.

Also can judged by pressure gauge area,green area-safe range,boiler can operate normally within this area.Red low-pressure area,need replenish boiler pressure,red high-pressure ares,reduce boiler pressure.

4. Boiler pressure too high

*Influence:

Banging sounds can be a sign of excess pressure causing stress in the system,something can not work normally.

When the pressure gets too high, some boilers shut down automatically.And excessive pressure may cause leakage of boiler pipes,even have risk of explosion.

*Measure:

Check the pressure gauge and safety valve to ensure that the safety valve can release excess pressure normally.

Check the water replenishment system to ensure that there is no excessive water inflow due to failure.

After the boiler has cooled,remove scale and impurities to restore the pipes to a clear state.

5. Boiler pressure too low

*Influence:

Uneven heating, due to insufficient pressure, the transportation efficiency of steam or hot water decreases, resulting in uneven heating of industrial equipment.

Reduce performance,reduce the combustion efficiency of the boiler increased energy consumption.

Low pressure can result in the boiler flame going out, potentially leading to the buildup of flammable gases.

*Measure:

Open the water replenishment system and add sufficient water to the boiler.

Make sure that the safety valve is working normally and is not stuck or damaged.

Ensure that the burner flame is stable and fully burned.

6. Maintance and adjust

Regularly record data,abnormal conditions can be found in time.

Ensure safety valves and pressure regulators normal operation,regularly inspect the safety valve and pressure regulator,find the aging condition and replace it in time.

Regularly piping system,use chemical descaling agents remove scale and impurities to reduce the risk of blockage.

Operator train,develop standardized operating procedures,prevent abnormal pressure caused by operating errors.
